Welcome and thank you for visiting my portfolio. I am Amanda Bates, a dedicated and hardworking graphic designer with a passion for creating visually compelling solutions. Originally from the northwestern suburbs of Chicago, I embarked on a creative journey that led me to the Monterey Bay area in 2018, and later to the vibrant community of Los Angeles in 2021.

My artistic journey began at a young age, fueled by a deep-seated interest in art and design. In 2009, I earned my degree in Graphic Design from Carthage College in Kenosha, Wisconsin, where I honed my skills and developed a love for bringing ideas to life through visual storytelling.

In addition to graphic design, I have a keen interest in photography, often drawing inspiration from my travels to create captivating images. When I'm not immersed in the world of art and design, I enjoy staying active outdoors through activities like swimming, kayaking, and hiking. I also find joy in crafting, cooking, and spending quality time with friends and family.

I recently expanded my skill set by earning a certificate in UI/UX design in February 2024, further enhancing my ability to create user-centric designs that seamlessly blend form and function.
